"I started working with Oriflame in October 2011. As a mother of a 2 year old boy I needed to find something that would fit around my family commitments as well as earning me a little extra cash.

I started by talking about the products to my friends and family and very quickly I realised that not only were the products well received but there was potential for me to build a team and my own business.

I started to recruit people into my team a couple of months ago and was both surprised and delighted to see how quickly my business grew. This month I will qualify as a Group Manager and I am determined I will reach District Manager within the next few months.

If somebody had told me that in 2012 I would be running my own business with a potential turnover of £80,000 per year I would have laughed at them, but that is what I intend to achieve this year.

I have had tremendous support from my line manager and Head office but the real difference has been in me, I am so much more confident and outgoing as a result of my success and I now realise that even with so much doom and gloom about there are still opportunities for people who are prepared to put in the work and who believe in themselves.

It is so hard for mums with young children to find something that can work around family life and also help towards the family budget, but I would recommend anybody who is in the same position as I was not be afraid to try something new. If you believe in yourself then the opportunities do exist and I hope that my story will give others the confidence to try something new."
