Many people believe that achieve a senior position in a company like Oriflame they need to have either good academic qualifications and sales or management experience. Here is Debbie's story, an ordinary mum from Rotherham.
Debbie joined Oriflame simply to earn a bit of extra money for the family income - and to get her favourite cosmetics and skin care products at discounted price. With three young boys she wasn't looking for anything other than part time work. Six months after joining Debbie started to talk to her Upline Manager about maybe building a small team but only in the hours she had available around the family.
With her Upline's support she started to invite her friends and acquaintances to join her team. Now Debbie has risen through four levels of Management to the position of District Manager.
When we asked Debbie how she had archived so much with a young family to raise and care for:
"When I first joined Oriflame I had no ambition or goals. I just wanted to earn a bit of extra cash for the family. I enjoyed doing the job and after a while my manager mentioned that I too could grow a team.
When I started to build some of my friends doubted that I could do it but that actually made me more determinated. I had fabulous support from my Manager who helped and encouraged me all the way - and i just stuck at it. I now work about 15-20 hours per week, mainly 9.30am- 2.30pm to fit in with my children. This job has not only given me confidence, a sense of achievement and believe it or not, before i was invited to the Oriflame Conference last year I had never stayed in a hotel.
My ambition is to reach Regional Manger."
