The charity has two specific units; Naomi House for children and jacksplace for young adults. Each unit is purpose-built and offers an appropriate environment for each age group.
It costs around £5million a year to run the two units and approximately 10% of the funding comes from the Department of Health. The remaining £4.5million is raised by people and businesses across the region.
The support given by Naomi House is unique in the central south. It delivers a range of services to help to relieve families from the day-to-day pressures of looking after a child or young person with a life-limiting condition.
Happy Days at Naomi House and jacksplace
Each child and young adult that comes to Naomi House and jacksplace is an individual and we strive to meet their changing physical, emotional, social, spiritual and cultural needs throughout the course of their life.
In addition to providing specialist care, the staff also provide a wide range of therapies and play activities to enrich the children’s stay at the hospice.
