Sweden is famous for many different things. Stars like Greta Garbo, Ingrid Bergman, Abba and Björn Borg. Companies like H&M and IKEA - celebrated internationally for the innovative designs they create for fashion and interiors. Sweden is also famous for Alfred Nobel who established the Nobel Prize Awards in 1895 to recognize excellence in the Sciences.
Sweden is also known for being a leading country in environmental conservation, having cold weather, the Northern lights, spectacular scenery and the uncomplicated beauty of Swedish people. All of this is why we are proud of our Swedish heritage. It is part of our DNA and has a strong influence on the way we work, and the development of our cosmetics.
For us, ‘being Swedish’ means three very important characteristics:
Natural: a deep respect and love of nature. For over 40 years we’ve been inspired by the country’s beauty and have incorporated natural ingredients in our products including herbs and plants that grow along Sweden’s Archipelago to the forests and mountains.
Progressive: we explore new ingredients and technologies and seek new ways to bring nature’s fruits to life in our products in a safe and ethical way. Our R&D scientists are the heart of the progress Oriflame makes in cosmetic science.
Ethical: we seek to protect the environment at every stage – as we formulate, package, manufacture and distribute our products; we strive to source natural ingredients from renewable and ethical sources, reduce our water consumption and minimise pollution.
