For over 40 years Orifl ame has been producing the beauty products that you love by combining the best natural ingredients with the latest scientific research; but have you ever wondered how our innovative new products are developed?

All our skin, hair, personal care, colour cosmetics products and fragrances are the result of extensive development and testing to make sure they live up to the high performance formulations that our customers love. Each product is created by a specialised team of dedicated researchers based at our R&D facilities in Dublin and Stockholm. It is in our new Skin Research Institute in Stockholm where Orifl ame develops unique technologies primarily for skin care.

At the heart of Orifl ame is our desire to develop high performance, next generation formulations, inspired by nature. This focus is evident throughout the four specialist areas in the Skin Research Institute:

New Ingredients: Extracting and analysing natural and active plant ingredients is the main activity that takes place here. This allows us to discover new innovative ingredients and technologies that will deliver great benefi ts to our products.

Skin Biology: the biological effects of the natural extracts on skin are studied.

Skin Delivery: Our specialists assess how the active ingredients can penetrate the skin when in a product formulation and create positive results.

Bio-Analytics: we test and validate the effects and benefi ts of our products with the active ingredients.

Whilst the research and development stages of creating beauty products is best left to our scientists, we want to share this information with you as it’s vital to understanding the high-quality and standards of our products.
